Senator Obama on Autism and Disability

“We must build a world free of unnecessary barriers, stereotypes, and discrimination .... policies must be developed, attitudes must be shaped, and buildings and organizations must be designed to ensure that everyone has a chance to get the education they need and live independently as full citizens in their communities.”

OK, I have to address the "McCain war HERO" comments. Why is he a "HERO" because he was a POW, he endured pain. I think we bandy around the title of "HERO" a little too much. A hero is someone who has risked or sacrificed his life to save others OR substantially inflicted injury to enemy assets that in turn resulted in saving lives. Is every POW a "hero" by virtue of being captured? I have no doubt that McCain is a Patriot...but a hero? No disrespect intended but I would like to know the modern day definition of a hero.
